About The Light Point

The purpose of this book is that all who read it may see God, know God, and love God. I wrote it because God showed me that although I was saved, I hadn’t taken the time to heal and become whole. He revealed to me that in order to overcome the brokenness of my past, I would have to stand bold and unashamed. This book is evidence of the power that comes from sharing your story through the lens of God’s love. Some call it truth-telling, others call it testifying, I call it living in the light. Once I discovered how to get to that point, I couldn’t keep it to myself. This book was written to give hope to anyone who ever felt like they had to hide. It is for anyone who has ever believed the lie that they are defined by their past. It is the story of overcoming fear and shame in order to live in freedom. God gave me the words to say and a voice to speak out so the enemy could never stop my God-ordained impact. 

The Light Point is a book that described the pain of my childhood addictions, insecurity, and lack of Identity. In it, I share the journey of healing that God has brought me through. I reveal deep reflections on my life that were hidden for years by the deception of shame. It reflects the human experience of understanding the past, unlearning the pain, and hoping for a brighter future. This book holds the good, bad, and ugly of a life that was once lived in the shadows. It shines a light on some of the darkest times in my life but in that space of transparency and vulnerability, there is victory. I am not what I have gone through but God used my experiences to shape me and sanctify me for His glory. 

I hope that this book helps you see that you are not alone. You might not be able to relate to everything that I’ve gone through, but we all have a shared human experience of needing to be seen, known, loved. So, we can all relate to how the desire for these things can control our thoughts or actions in harmful ways. In the light point, I describe how coming to see, know, and love God first fulfilled that desire more deeply than I could have known. As the Scriptures say you would know the truth and the truth will set you free. (John 8:32) there is the truth in the word of God but there’s also truth in the words that God has spoken over your life. That specific truth gets suppressed when we remain silent about what we’ve done and what has been done to us. By God's grace, I have been able to uncover the truth and find deeper freedom in Christ that not only secured my eternity but transformed my reality. The Light Point Book tells the story of that discovery. I pray that as you read it the Holy Spirit reveals how you too can live in the light.
