A Note to my Breakdown Brethren

Please know that I am not a Bible scholar or ordained minister. I’m just someone who believes that God can use anybody to do his will in the earth. I try my best to use the Bible to interpret the Bible so that you hear less of me and more of God. A good friend helped me to understand that because we tend to read the bible topically and situationally, we can miss out on the full context of the word of God. The Bible is relevant to everything we might be going through but if we can look at it holistically and seek understanding, we will give ourselves access to the raw material God can use to change us from the inside out. In this Bible study I will share what God has helped me to understand in his word. The Breakdown is not perfect because I am not God so I will mess up sometimes. The Breakdown is not entirely comprehensive because we can never finished being fed by the word of God. However, The Breakdown is honest and real understanding that has come from my devotion and quiet time with God. It cannot replace your mediation on the Bible for yourself. I can only hope that it inspires you to study more deeply. Feel free to use this resource for personal devotion, group bible study, or to encourage a friend. I believe that the heart of God and knowledge of him is found in his word. If we can just get it in us, God will get it through us and allow it to transform us as it lights up the dark places in our lives. My prayer is that The breakdown brings understanding that leads you to transformation. I pray that as you read the word, it will read you right back. I pray that as you break out a notebook and break open your Bible, you’ll be able to break down the word of God to build a life in Christ.
